The English Reformed Church acknowledges a three-fold obligation in its service to the Lord Jesus Christ:

1. The evangelisation of the world in the great commission: "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28)

2. The wellbeing of all our members as members of Christ's body (local) and members one of another.

3. The good of the universal Church, the Bride of Christ, for whom he shed his blood.

To this end Good Neighbours Bookstore was started more than 25 years ago.  Its aim from the very beginning was to provide the best Christian books at the lowest price we could afford to anyone in Southern Africa.  Discounts of up to 40% are given to members who live all over the country and belong to a wide variety of churches.

John Wycliffe Theological College and its associate ministry, the Library, opened its doors for service ten years ago.  Students who come from a wide variety of churches are offered a three or four year course of study for the B.A. (Theol) degree awarded by Potchefstroom University, with whom we have a contractual relationship.
